The BBC is set to broadcast "Return to Paradise," a new spin-off series set in Australia based on the popular UK drama "Death in Paradise." Scheduled for filming next year, this six-part series will be produced by BBC Studios Productions Australia in collaboration with Red Planet Pictures for the ABC, in association with the BBC.
"Return to Paradise" is set in the picturesque coastal village of Dolphin Cove and features six intriguing murder mysteries set against the stunning backdrop of the Australian coastline.
The protagonist, Mackenzie Clarke, is an Australian ex-pat who has excelled in the London Metropolitan police force with her intuitive detective skills. Despite her success, she is compelled to return to her childhood home in Dolphin Cove, a place she had vowed never to revisit.
Having left Dolphin Cove abruptly six years ago, Mackenzie is faced with unresolved issues and unanswered questions upon her return.
